  2. I am not sure what the camel part is about, but the poem itself made me think of the Dark Tower series by Stephen King which was written with the poem Childe Roland To The Dark Tower Came by Robert Browning.

The picture of the horse in the valley is in Gloucestershire (UK), I took it a couple of weeks ago, it was a glorious autumn weekend in the country.
Did you sit bar exams? Hope all went well.

hmmm... haiku are short poems of japanese origin. some persons use a 3 line structure, with 5 syllables in the first line, 7 in the second, and 5 in the third. other persons use even fewer syllables, aiming for a one breath poem.

they tend to be about nature, though some persons apply the structure to other topics.

the idea here is to convey much, with few words, and maybe have some kick to the overall end product (a twist at the end, for example).

i love them because they force me to focus, and imagine, and then choose words more carefully. :)

  12. The sand made me think about, not the Camel, but more in the of Frank Herbert and his books about Dune - I might read it again for I dont know which time, they are good the books - I can recommend them.
